Pug Portrait

As part of my Art Nouveau portrait series, I adapted an sketch study of our pugs, Fiona and Grace. Purposely asymmetrical, I included a vintage wallpaper backdrop with tiny pug silhouettes as part of the motif. Painted in oils, this is the first of hopefully more dog-centric portraits! Luckily I have two very natural models in our furry duo, Fiona and Grace.
